AJ, GP Boston, O’Bryant, 15 years old, originally from Boston and Puerto Rico

Ajyanna is a 15 year old student at the O’Bryant school and is interested in participating in GP to serve others.
Here is what AJ has to say about herself: My name is Ajyanna; however, I go by AJ. I am fifteen years old and go to school at John D. O’Bryant. Something for me that’s very important in life is success. Not success to be selfish, but success so that I’m able to help other people out. When I die I want to be known for something, and I want to stand out and not be like every other person in life. I want to feel like I have a purpose in life, and I feel that part of my purpose is to help out others. In ten years I see myself as a lawyer, or a child caseworker/ advocate. I never really took much time thinking about where I see myself in ten years because I never seemed satisfied with the things I’m good at, so they always seem to change over time.
I would willingly die for my family. Without a doubt I would die for my family and what I believe in. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I feel like what other people think is very important. I feel like one person’s opinion is GOOD, but 2 or 3 people’s opinion is GREAT. Never doubt yourself because of what other people are thinking. You should always stick by what you think. Don’t always let other people persuade you into something else.
If I could give my family and friends one free thing it would be love. Love is already free, so you don’t have to pay anything for it. However love is something that everyone wants in life. Regardless of where you get the love from, love is love and love is meant to last forever. It makes you feel good inside, and the right love is unconditional.
If I had one million dollars, I wouldn’t even know where to start. But I would first try to get my family’s bills and debt together. I would help out my mother and stepfather. With the left over money I would probably donate it to the Dana Farber Cancer center. My grandmother has Cancer and I know how hard it is to battle with Cancer and I don’t want to see anyone else to have to go through what other people have had to deal with.
I love everything in life. Life is not easy, as we all know; we all battle with something in life. I do have my moments when I feel as if life is not far, and I do have my times when I don’t always enjoy what life has to offer us. But there is so much to experience; there are so many things to do. I love doing things randomly and not always plan, when things are just sprung upon me. Sometimes we as people tend to limit our self and hold ourselves back from trying different things than what we’re use to. But if we always did what was expected life would be so boring, and we would have nothing to live for. RIGHT ?
