Town of Marceline, 110 people served!
Our Haiti Relief Coordinator was running project JSA, Jenes Sud an Aksyon with friends and family before choosing to join GP. JSA fundraised over 10,000 USD and was able to impact over 1000 people! It was a combined effort of Haitian locals living in the U.S. and Haiti that allowed the impact to be greater. Now with GP, this impact will only go further!
Katia plans on using her personal and professional ties to the southern region of Haiti to carry GP’s mission of youth-led service and education to her former city.

Under the guidance and leadership of Marckenlove, 94 families received direct aid! 25 GP volunteers focused on gathering donations and buying supplies in the capital. 7 Participants traveled to the impacted zone to distribute supplies to Saut Mathurine!
Fun fact: Saut Mathurine is the location of Haiti’s largest waterfall! After the earthquake, the waterfall actually dried up to the horror and surprise of everyone on the island. Luckily mother nature has a way and the water came back after a few days! Our team arrived to the site just in time to see our waterfall return to its original state.
